Polish tourist joy in Erciyes Ski Center

Polish tourists, who came as the first guests from abroad after the 2021-2022 ski season opened on Mount Erciyes, were welcomed with a ceremony.

After the opening of the 2021-2022 ski season, Erciyes Ski Center, one of the important ski centers of Turkey, where 165 foreign tourists came from Poland with the first charter flight, the tourists leaving the airport were greeted with roses and a welcome banner.

Stating that they want to host around 25-30 thousand foreign guests with the plans made this year, Erciyes A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Murat Cahit Cıngı said that Erciyes Ski Center has turned into an international tourism center with the investments of the metropolitan municipality.

Stating that the promotions, fairs, presentations and information tours that Erciyes A.Ş. has made so far have resulted in a very serious number of tourists coming to the city, Cıngı stated that since 2017, they have brought their guests to the city for winter and ski tourism with charter flights.

“Today, the first charter plane of the 2021-2022 season landed directly from Warsaw in our city. Our first tourist group has come to our city from Poland to ski and visit our region in Erciyes. Poland is a particularly strategic market for us because its people do sports very intensely. They also host international successes in winter tourism, and what pleases us is that the same family sometimes visits 3-4 times a year. Thanks to Erciyes, it has reached an important international level and we hope that it will progress much faster from now on and we are acting for that purpose. After that, our charter flights will come to Kayseri again. This year, we made plans to host an average of 25-30 thousand foreign tourists in our city during the winter season. The current flight schedules have been designed accordingly.”

Indicating that they will continue to host guests from Ukraine and various countries, Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Şükrü Dursun said that the season will be full and Erciyes comes to a higher level every year than the previous year. Dursun also noted that when the 2 new facilities to be opened this year are finished, the number of tourists staying both in Erciyes and in the city center will increase.
